Overnight respite

The Gold Coast Multi-Service Centre provides flexible arrangements for overnight respite, enabling families to access respite for one night, a few nights, or a two-to-three week stay. All meals and activities are provided through our centre.

Centre-based respite, social support & flexible respite

Our respite and social support services provide social interaction for our clients, and a break for their carers. Should a carer be working or studying, respite enables employment or study commitments to be maintained. Gold Coast Multi-Service Centre clients participate in social and artistic activities, small group outings, community functions and local clubs. Outings and activities are planned to meet the interests of each individual. Clients may also receive assistance with shopping and medication management. Respite care / social support may extend to only part of a day, or to one or more full days each week. Our flexible offering, including weekend, early mornings and evening respite, caters to various family needs.

Domestic assistance & personal care

Our domestic assistance services provide tailored support and care to individuals from the comfort of their home, so they can enjoy the best quality of life, and remain independent, for as long as possible.

In-Home Respite & Personal Care

In-home respite provides an in-home companion to interact with the person with dementia, in their own home, for short periods while the carer takes a break. In-home support also provides employed carers with time to prepare and leave for work, to meet their employment commitments or to run errands whilst the person with dementia is cared for. Personal Cares such as personal hygiene, dressing and/or meal preparation can also be provided by a suitably qualified staff member.

Allied Health

Funded allied health services such as at home occupational therapy, physiotherapy, podiatry & speech therapy to name just a few are available for the South Coast area and are targeted towards maintaining or restoring our seniors' wellness and independence. Please discuss options with the Manager.
