"Singing In The Rain"

Across all our services, Alzheimer's Queensland endeavour to support our residents and clients to have exceptional experiences and enjoy a fulfilling life. Below you will read about a group of ladies who reside at the Garden City Aged Care Services, one of our homes, who owing to the hard work of our lifestyle staff went to watch a threatre production titled "Singing In The Rain".

Karin Bongers (Lifestyle Manager at Garden City Aged Care Services)

“In October a group of residents attended a matinee performance of “Singing in the Rain” at QPAC theatre. The day was thoroughly enjoyed by all that attended. As a lifestyle Manager I could easily describe the enjoyment that I witnessed from such a wonderful experience and day at the theatre however it’s much better described by the residents themselves.”

Gwenda McNaught

“The dancing was great!”

Joan La Rocca

“I really enjoyed the production. The singing, dancing and presentation were something you had to see to believe. I enjoyed the water feature of real rain but was pleased I was sitting in a seat where I didn’t get wet! It was much better live than watching a movie”

Gloria Crossisca

“I thought it was absolutely wonderful, I have relived it several times over since seeing it when I flick through the program I purchased”

Jean Will

“Live theatre is always worth the trip. That was my first time to the Lyric Theatre though and I was really impressed by the layout of the theatre, our seats and the space that we had for perfect viewing and of course the attention to detail and support given to us to enjoy the day by the staff”
