Road, Ipswich, and provides 24 hour, 7 day per week respite
care. Take a look at some photos of

Centre-Based Care
Centre-based care or respite provides a break for the person with dementia and their carer. This care may be for part of a day or a few separate days in the week. Flexible hours include opportunities for weekend, early mornings and evening respite.
Centre-based care for employed carers is available from 5am - 8am and 8pm - 11pm to enable working carers to prepare for and complete their work commitments.
In-Home Respite
In-home respite provides an in-home companion to interact with the person with dementia, in their own home, for a period while the carer takes a break.
Overnight in-home care is also available for people with dementia if the person is unable to access the Centre Based Overnight Respite.
In-home support also provides employed carers with assistance to prepare and leave for work, to meet their employment commitments.
Overnight Cottage Respite
Overnight cottage respite (centre-based care) in a home like environment is available for people with dementia to provide respite for their carers. The length of stay may vary according to individual needs.
Social Support
Social support provides an opportunity for the person with dementia to access community activities of their choice while being supported by appropriately qualified staff. These activities may be social, recreational or domestic in nature.
Home Maintenance
Home maintenance services are available in the home of HACC eligible clients. This service provides basic maintenance of the home to ensure the environment is safe for the person. Services may include such things as lawn care, rubbish removal, minor home repairs and maintenance. The service does not cover major home renovations or modifications.
Personal Care
Personal care services are available in the home of the client. A suitably qualified and trained staff member visits the home to assist in personal hygiene, dressing and/or meal preparation.
Carer Support
Carer meetings are a valuable way of obtaining information and receiving support. Other supports such as library services, education and information sessions, forums and 24 hour helpline services are available.
Client Eligibility
Clients are eligible to attend the respite care if they are eligible for HACC Services (Home and Community Care) and they are a resident of the West Moreton Region.
Referrals
Referrals will be accepted from Medical Practitioners, Community Nurses, family and friends, or any other community contacts. An appointment will then be made to discuss service options.
Fees
All nominated fees are negotiable. Access to services will not be determined by an inability to meet the nominated fees. All financial matters should be discussed with Centre Management and will be treated as confidential.
