What is a forum?
In a forum, people send messages to each other in a way that is similar to posting a note on a bulletin board for others to read later. Other people can reply to any of these messages with their own comments. These online conversations are known as message threads, and each thread has its own subject. You can read messages that others have sent and post a reply to the forum, or if you wish you can start a new topic.

What is PDF and how do I get it?
PDF (Portable Document Format) is a file format for describing documents such as leaflets and booklets. To view PDF files, you need a PDF viewer. Your computer may already have the viewer installed - to see if the computer already has the viewer, try downloading the PDF file. If you do not already have a PDF viewer installed on the computer, you will need to download and install a Adobe Acrobat Reader, which is available free for download at the Adobe web site.

What is Shockwave and how do I get it?
In some parts of this site we use Shockwave which is free software available from Macromedia. It only takes a few minutes to download and install, then you don't even have to think about it. You may already have it as it now comes already installed onto your computer when you buy it. If you can see the clouds moving on the top of this screen, then you have the player. If you can't see the clouds moving, then visit the Shockwave download site to download the player.
